Dangers of Success
Let me run a scenario for you. You work hard, and you find that you become truly successful financially. Do you, say” thank you” and I expect, with a good attitude and hard work this to continue. On the other hand you might say I’m successful now but “when will the bubble burst?” For the most part, people fear losing the success more than they enjoy the benefits.
Let me give you an illustration. This doctor opened up and maintained a very successful practice for a number of years. He worked hard at his craft and became financially successful. On the outside it would appear that the doctor had it all. On the inside, the doctor kept asking himself “when will this bubble burst?”
While taking a walk one day, the doctor noticed an annoying pain in his hip. At first he gave it no thought but as the pain persisted he decided to investigate the problem. He found out that his hip was totally degenerated and that he would most likely be unable to continue to practice. Now a large voice in the back of his head said “The bubble just burst.” That doctor was me and it has been a long time since I have been able to practice my craft for any length of time.
Your mind has the ability to conjure up positive or negative thoughts. If you keep those thoughts predominantly positive you will get predominantly positive results. The opposite of that is also true. So when success comes, and it will, start thinking that your bubble is getting bigger and better and is ever expanding.
